SINGfest 2008

My body especially my shoulders are still aching from Saturday.

I contemplated for so long on this because it was pretty ex and although i only made my decision and bought tickets the day before, i'm glad i did, if not i'll probably be holding the word "regret" in me for a long period of time. Sooo.. Day 1 Singfest, one word to describe "Awesome!!" Running about 2 stages to catch different bands and standing for 10 over hours was madness but fun. Ok insane-ly i brought all my cameras last sat, my small video camcorder, my normal digital camera [just incase my camcorder batt dies, it acts as a video backup device] and also borrowed my dads Nikon D80 which was a big risk. In order to take good shots with the lenses that i have that zooms that much and that far, standing in the center towards the front of the stage will be good but just imagine me holding a D80 with a camera bag, stuck in the middle of a pushing crowd or a mosh pit, if anything happens to the cam haha i will be in deep shit. I've seen photographers moshing with one arm in the air holding their Nikon cams with their huge lenses on and survived, which i thought it was funny looking at, but a crazy thing to do. It's heavy man! Rueven was telling me not to bring just to be precautious but Joachim told me that it's gonna be a once in a life time kinda stuff and you won't know when any of the bands will coming be back again lol so in the end i brought all cams to take video and shots for memory sake. Everything turn out pretty ok although as expected there was abit pushing here and there but i managed to jumped, dance and sing along with the crowd to the songs i know hahaha the only time i had trouble was during Lostprophets set. Goshh i hardly could get any shots or proper videos on them, half the time when i focus on any of the band memebers to snap a shot people start moshing, start pushing but anyways it's Lostprophets we are talking about lol so its pretty normal reaction from the crowd. So during their set almost the whole time i had my arms hugging around the D80 looking stupid hahah. It was a fantastic day and night event with all the fantastic line ups and favourite bands performing. I wanted to go for Day 2 as well there's Jason Mraz, One Republic, Panic!, Alicia Keys and Pussy Cat Dolls oh man the awesome line ups but its a Sunday couldn't make it and i'm pretty much broke after buying Day 1 ticket lol :p

The highlighted bands are those that i caught on saturday. There were some timings that crashes two bands at different stages or some that i don't really know so i didn't go over to watch it.
